Compare & Contrast two different ratings

So age ratings were obviously put in place for a reason, but are they taking it a bit too far?

3: It’s basically for kids only; well at least it was until they started putting racing games in which you see violent crashes and explosions under it. Games like Disney’s Epic Mickey usually fall under this classification.

18: Basically blood and gore galore; or at least it was until everyone decided that call of duty was too violent for anyone below 18. Seriously though it’s a First Person Shooter like any other yet it’s ridiculously over classified for what it is. Games like Skyrim in which you can violently decapitate people and destroy their limbs are somehow classified as a 15, guys, stop.

Agree or disagree with a game classification

I’m going to have to pick 18; which I disagree with entirely, especially since some games are way too highly rated for the content they have in them, we’re starting to rate games an 18 because someone said the word “bulls**t”. Not to mention the fact that some violent games are severely underrated too, it’s pretty dumb most of the time.

Also when I want to buy a game that’s rated 18 they ask for my ID or a driver’s license, guys I’m buying a game in which I’m going to run people over for money, does it look like I have a driver’s license?

Why were they made?

Originally to inform the public about the war, and to communicate information to foot soldiers and RAF pilots. Now it’s more commonly used for gossip and popular music.

Who listens to them?

People who are driving, Blind people and people at work.

 

Differences between AM and FM

AM: Amplitude Modulation. In this technique, the amplitude or height of the carrier signal increases and decreases as the base signal changes. AM radio signals will travel great distances so a single transmitter can cover large areas.

 
FM: Frequency Modulation, where the frequency of the carrier signal increases and decreases to represent the change in voltage of the base signal. FM signals tend to offer better signal quality than AM but the range is far less, demanding multiple transmitters to cover the same area as one AM transmitter.
